Sunday School For Children
"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will
not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6
St. Paul's Children's Ministries offers Sunday School classes for children from 2 years to 5th grade. All classes meet in the Wesley Building at 9:15am. Classroom assignments are posted in the Wesley Building.
A committed team of teachers, classroom helpers, and coordinators work together to bring the Bible to life through a variety of group and individual learning methods including storytelling, drama, discussion, singing, games, and art.
St. Paul's uses a curriculum that emphasizes fun,
active learning techniques that allow the children to experience and apply
the overall story of the Bible. We encourage children to develop a personal
relationship with God through prayer and Christian peer and mentor relationships.
Reaching out in God's love to others through mission and service projects
is another important aspect of Sunday School.
Volunteer Opportunities in Sunday School:
- Sunday School Coordinator-Coordinate all Sunday School activities and provide assistance/support.
- Sunday School Teacher/Co-Teacher-Lead Sunday School classes using provided curriculum.
- Classroom Helper-Assist in classroom, no preparation.
- Welcomer-Shepherd kids prior to start of Sunday School (8:50am-9:10am).
- Special Angel-Provide one-on-one assistance for special needs children.
Music Leader-Lead children in song during gathering time (9:15-9:30). - Special Events Coordinator-Coordinate one or more special events during
year e.g. Children's Day,
Volunteer brunch, Mission projects. - Special Angels (those helping children with special needs)
